We had our last service for 2008 today and what pastor kong said made me ponder about some things in my life. I don't wanna just be a used-to person, used to be on fire for god; used to be radical and 100% for god once in my life. I don't want this fire of mine to burn out.

whether i'm in my victorious period, in the darkest valley, god still loves me unconditionally, i know it and i can feel it. All the more, i dont want my walk with god to be in a standstill, a 'once' thing. instead, i want it to burn more strongly for god, i want to love him more each year and do more things to honour god. i want to be the salt and light for jesus christ.


we headed to tanjin's house for thankgiving cell group after our final service of the year! Gerry appreciated the art committee, CGCs, treasurer, birthday coordinator.. As she was sharing how this year was for her, i was thinking back of what god has done for me in the past 12 months, my job in the cafe, the reason for placing me in sim, thank god for bringing me closer to my family and for real friends that i have around me. He has opened my eyes to choose my friends wisely, to choose friends that reciprocate and appreciate me for who i am, and not taking without reciprocate. I should release the friendship into god's hand. reminds me of a funny story pst kong said. A little boy was sitting on the ground and was groaninging in pain. A passerby walked past and ask what happened to him and the boy said, i got a bee's sting under my butt, but i want to bee to feel more pain than me, so im not gonna stand up. hahaha!

Anyways,thank god for a wonderful 2008!
i want to do better, greater and more things in 2009! YAY!

today's service was awesome, 1 thing that i learnt today was that because the world is moving on so fast, we need to hold on to our personal experiences, revelations with god. These are the things that constantly remind us of god's grace upon us, that when bad things happen to good people in this broken down world, our revelation is critical as it reminds us that god was with us, will be and always be with us.
